The research suggested that a short duration of pregnancy ( less than a year) in women of all age groups increases the risk of problems like small babies, low birth weight, premature delivery, etc. Researchers concluded that the risks are comparatively higher in women more than 35 years of age, and women with this age group are more likely (18%) to have shorter pregnancy duration (6- 11 months ) as compared to women of 20-24 years old(17%).
